On 9 August 2016, Wotton + Kearney is hosting a fundraiser dinner for the 'So They Can' project
The dinner will be Wotton + Kearney's key fundraising event for
So They Can, with the team leaving for Kenya to visit
So They Can's projects and participate in the Maasai Mara Marathon just a few days later.
So They Can was founded in 2009 after Cassandra Treadwell, its Founder and CEO, visited an internally displaced persons camp in Nakaru, Kenya, where over 7,000 people were living in tents.
So They Can's projects include:
- a primary school that currently educates 960 children
- a children's village for orphaned and vulnerable children
- a microfinance business school for women and other social businesses
