Law In Order is pleased to announce that we have recently opened our first international office in Singapore. Our expansion into the region will ensure the highest level of service and provision for our international clients.
Singapore is well positioned as an international legal hub and one of the top choices for international dispute resolution. Earlier this month, the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) was launched and the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC) is expected to begin operations in the New Year. These initiatives will no doubt create more opportunities for the Singaporean legal industry.
Michael Lew, Director – Singapore will head up the office locally. Michael is an avid legal technologist with more than 13 years of experience in electronic evidence management and litigation support in Southeast Asia. He is a specialist in the field of electronic discovery and has collaborated with the Singapore Academy of Law to develop and deliver the first Essential E-Discovery course for lawyers in 2010 and subsequently the Forward E-Discovery course with SILE accreditation in 2014. He is also a qualified digital forensics investigator and was appointed to provide expert witness testimonies in notable cases heard in both the Courts of Singapore and Malaysia.
Law In Order – Singapore will mirror the services available in Australia and utilise the same expertise. While we get our full service bureau up and running, we have partnered with a number of established providers to ensure we are able to offer the breadth of services currently available to the Australian market.
“It is indeed exciting times for the legal industry in Singapore. We are at the cross roads of embracing technology and new processes to compete internationally. I believe that Law In Order’s proven track record in Australia, coupled with its best practices will change the landscape of legal technology support services in Singapore”
Michael Lew, Director – Singapore.
